I was perfect once for a second.

When I fainted on a hot summer day and lost conscious about the world, where I was and who I was. That moment was so perfect that I never could remember it again.

For a long time, my driving goal was to be perfect. Be perfect in this, do perfect in that, and so on. It was the only measure and the only one that mattered – to me.

And it was a miserable experience.

Understanding is not the first step.

So many Engineers that I work with stop and pause when I say this. If you are like them and you seek to understand first too, you might be already formulating your facts and data points to counter me and prove me wrong.

Noticing and observing is the first step.

“What? You work with Engineers? … Why?” I hear this often. People’s surprised looks and long pauses always make me smile inside.

Yes, I work with Engineers and I love it. What makes me different and not part of the norm is that I am not an Engineer by profession nor by trade. One day after being asked again and again about why I chose to work with Engineers, I decided to own my difference and write about Engineers.
